STONE VARIETIES
Whether your fireplace is currently brick or stone or some other material, it can be covered with some type of stone.
There are many different approaches to be considered.
- Stone Tile – thin fingers of stone installed horizontally
- Stone Veneer – select one of many different shapes / colors of stone
- Carved Cement
STONE TILE
Some Stone Tiles are of similar color and thickness.
Others offer stones of varying dimension or colors
STONE VENEER
Colors among stones might vary greatly or little. Stones are available in shapes that are either Round, Rectangular, Fieldstone, or Cut. These are generally between 3/4” and 1 1/2” thick.

CARVED CEMENT
Sometimes it’s a good idea to apply a specialty engineered cement and carve it into the desired shapes and sizes of stone This technique is particularly well suited for large stones, monograms or other unique motifs. We’ve seen a fireplace carved to look like a giant sand castle. We’d be interested in doing something that unique!
