Project Description

Whether your fireplace is currently brick or stone or some other material, it can be covered with some type of stone.

There are many different approaches to be considered.

  • Stone Tile – thin fingers of stone installed horizontally
  • Stone Veneer – select one of many different shapes / colors of stone
  • Carved Cement

Some Stone Tiles are of similar color and thickness.
Others offer stones of varying dimension or colors

Colors among stones might vary greatly or little. Stones are available in shapes that are either Round, Rectangular, Fieldstone, or Cut. These are generally between 3/4” and 1 1/2” thick.

We work often with Castle Stone. See their site:

Or visit them at Tesson Park Ct
Hazelwood, MO  63042

Sometimes it’s a good idea to apply a specialty engineered cement and carve it into the desired shapes and sizes of stone  This technique is particularly well suited for large stones, monograms or other unique motifs. We’ve seen a fireplace carved to look like a giant sand castle. We’d be interested in doing something that unique!

We’re very proud of our high standards for coloring our carved cement. We work hard to create authentic-looking stone, making use of specialized tools to assist us.
We use the carved cement technique whenever we need to repair damaged stone.
